This global conference follows in the footsteps of the inaugural WCIC held in Kyoto in 2012, marking 13 years of international collaboration in the investment casting industry. Kobe, officially designated by the Japanese government as a leading international conference city, is ideally located near Kansai International Airport (KIX) and offers an excellent infrastructure along with numerous attractions in both the city itself and the surrounding Kansai region.
Highlights of WCIC2025 include:
- Exhibition of products and solutions (Day 1–3)
- Technical presentations showcasing the latest developments and innovations from around the world (Day 2–3)
- Plant tours on the final day, with four different programs offering unique insights into the forefront of Japanese investment casting technologies
- Networking events such as a welcome reception and gala banquet featuring Kobe’s renowned cuisine, Japanese sake, and other specialties to welcome international guests
Originally scheduled for 2024 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the anticipation for this major industry gathering in Japan is now stronger than ever.
Both Shinji Fujiwara, Chairman of the Japan Foundry Society (JFS), and Kimihiko Seki, Chairman of the Executive Committee and representative of Daido Castings, emphasize the significance of WCIC2025 as a unique platform for exchange, collaboration, and innovation within the global investment casting community.
The organizing committee warmly invites industry professionals, companies, and researchers from around the world to join this central event in Kobe in September 2025.
