Launched in 2013 by the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the awards are presented every two years for outstanding achievements in bilateral business. This year's ceremony, attended by H.E. Andrea Caroni, President of the Swiss Council of States, and H.E. Jürg Burri, Swiss Ambassador to China, North Korea, and Mongolia, was particularly significant in light of the 75th anniversary of relations between China and Switzerland. This award highlights Bühler's outstanding achievements in innovation, research and development, and digital transformation.
Data as the engine of the future
Bühler's SmarT digital coffee roasting management solution took second place in the “Digital Transformation Award” category for large companies. The solution offers end-to-end transparency and intelligence – from quality control and roasting management to energy monitoring – thereby improving efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Bühler's practical application in the areas of the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) demonstrates the unique advantages of the Chinese market in the large-scale application of technologies.
Revolution in die casting
Bühler's integrated die casting solution Carat 920 was honored with the Innovation Pioneer Award. It enables automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to cost-effectively produce large and complex structural components made of aluminum or magnesium. With more than 50 megacasting solutions sold worldwide, Bühler is driving innovation in key markets such as China, Europe, America, Japan, and Vietnam. “This award reflects the commitment of our team and the trust of our partners,” said Mathias Manser, Quality Manager Die Casting. “We will continue to strengthen the industry through technology and contribute to global progress in manufacturing.”

This year, it was honored with the “Legacy Award,” which was created specifically by the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce – an award for companies that have been operating in China for over 20 years and embody the distinctive characteristics of the “Swiss” brand. This recognition not only confirms Bühler's four decades of tireless commitment to promoting technological cooperation between China and Switzerland and industrial modernization, but also exemplifies the “long-term philosophy” of Swiss companies in the Chinese market.
The honor and success of winning these awards will promote deeper cooperation with the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and partners from both countries, driving industrial modernization through smart equipment and sustainable technologies, while also strengthening economic cooperation between China and Switzerland through long-term initiatives such as talent development and the establishment of uniform standards.
